CHARLESTON TRAVEL TIPS
I just returned from an incredible 3 adventure in Charleston, and I was completely blown away by the historic charm, delicious cuisine, stunning architecture, and the friendly locals. It’s a truly magical city that should be on everyone’s travel list. Below are all my recommendations if you plan to visit!
Charleston is now my new favorite city! Check out my recos below for the best spots for food, shopping, and more. Charleston, ILYSM 🍍🍍
Day 1:
During our first day in Charleston, we stayed at The Dewberry Charleston and rented bikes to explore the city. We ended up visiting the Charleston Market, the waterfront, the pier, the Pineapple Fountain, and the iconic Rainbow Row.
For lunch, we indulged in delicious oysters, tuna banh mi, and malt fries at Delaney Oyster House. Afterwards, we shopped around King Street, with Hampden Clothing being a standout spot. We concluded our day with a memorable dinner at FIG, where the brown butter gnocchi is a must-order!
Day 2:
We started the day by renting a car and driving to Sullivan's Island, with the hotel providing beach chairs and other essentials. On our way, we passed filming locations from Outer Banks. We explored the quaint shops, including Beach Krew. For lunch, we enjoyed a meal at The Obstinate Daughter. We spent the afternoon relaxing at Station 27 beach. In the evening, we had cocktails at The Dewberry Charleston rooftop or Ritual Rooftop, followed by a delicious dinner at Chubby Fish. We ended the night with live music at The Commodore.
Day 3:
On our final day, we started with a gospel brunch at Halls Chophouse. Next, we took a Southern charm and historic tour organized by our hotel, which included visits to the synagogues. In the afternoon, we relaxed with high tea and cocktails at Hotel Bennett. We wrapped up our Charleston adventure with a memorable dinner at Husk Restaurant.
